Crystal Palace have issued a ban on a spectator who has aimed a racial dig towards Tottenham Hotspur striker Son Heung-min.
The incident occurred in Spurs 1-0 win at home on Saturday.
The person in question was pictured making what seemed to be a racist gesture towards the South Korean player, when he was being substituted in the 89th minute.
Since then Palace has taken immediate actions to tackle the issue.
“We are aware of a video circulating online (as well as reports made directly to us) regarding an individual in the away end at Spurs yesterday, appearing to make racist gestures towards Son Heung-min,” the team said in a statement.
“Evidence has been shared with the police, and when he is identified, he will face a club ban. We will not tolerate such behavior in our club.”
This is not the first case for racial abuse aimed at Son, who was also abused in August in a game against Chelsea. Back then the Blues supporter was banned for three years following an investigation by the Crown Prosecution Service.
