Curry scores campaign-high 60, but Hawks beat Warriors after OT

Stephen Curry had a season-high 60 points in Warrior’s 141-134 OT defeat against the Hawks, with Trae Young scoring 35 to lead Atlanta to the victory vs. Golden State.

Steph had 8 points in the overtime to finish only 2 shy of the career-high 62 he scored vs. the Trail Blazers on January 3^rd, 2021. The Golden State point guard had 22 of 38 shots from the field, struck 10 of 23 3-pointers, and converted all 6 of his free throws.

The Warriors superstar became the 10^th player in the league history with multiple 60-point matches.

It marked the 6^th 60-point match of the season, 3^rd most in any National Basketball Association campaign (1961-62 had 17 and 1962-63 had 9).

“It’s very unpleasant not to have something to show for it,” Curry admitted after Golden State, 12th in the West, fell to a 21-25 record.

Warriors manager Steve Kerr described Steph’s match as “phenomenal.”
