Bayern Munich’s left-back Alphonso Davies is a major transfer target for Real Madrid. It seems that he, too, wants to join Los Blancos but to fulfill his desire, he will need to agree to a lower salary.
The Canadian international arrived at Bayern in 2018 from Vancouver, and his contract expires on June 30, 2025. Davies has been negotiating with Bayern’s management for months to extend the collaboration, but an agreement has not been reached yet.
Spanish Marca reports that Bayern is offering Davies an annual salary of €10 million. However, the Canadian footballer is seeking a salary between €11 and €13 million per season to extend his contract. Bayern is reluctant to meet Davies’s demands, as the club believes that his contribution is not at that level.
Real Madrid wants to take advantage of this situation as it plans to sign Davies. Real’s management will ask the Canadian footballer to agree to a lower salary to make his transfer a reality.

Marca highlights the example of English footballer Jude Bellingham, who, during the summer transfer window, rejected a much larger offer from another club just to wear the Real Madrid jersey.
It is reported that Bellingham earns between six and eight million euros at Real. The Spanish giant is offering the same amount to Davies. The Canadian footballer has played 23 matches for Bayern in all competitions this season.
