The recent interview Dele Alli gave to Gary Neville shocked the whole European football.
The midfielder revealed that he had a very difficult and dramatic childhood, where he was a victim of sexual abuse and was dealing drugs at the age of 8.
Now his mother has categorically denied every word he said in an interview with the French media “OJBSPORT”.
“Dele was not adopted by anyone. By the age of seven, he was attending one of the best schools in Lagos. He was never sent to Africa to be disciplined. This is an outright lie. He had a driver who picked him up from school every day. We have all the documents and photos of Dele with his father since he was born,” she stated regarding his childhood.
“When he was about 13, Dele started training at MK Dons five days a week. So, for convenience, he started staying at his best friend’s house during the week, then coming home on the weekends. It was difficult to afford a life away from home, but we didn’t have a car and it was difficult for me to take him to training,” she added.
