Browns cornerback Denzel Ward cleared concussion protocol and will be available to start at Sunday’s season opener against Cincinnati.
This way Cleveland will have all his options in trying to stop Joe Burrow and his trio of receivers.
Ward had been out with his fourth reported concussion in the NFL. The two-time Pro Bowler got hurt in an Aug. 26 exhibition in Cincinnati. He was concentrated on some limited individual drills earlier this week before practicing on Friday in his attempt to be ready and it looks like he will be.

While the Browns will have Ward, they could be without starting safety Juan Thornhill, who is questionable with a calf injury.
