The New Orleans Saints’ quarterback Derek Carr will be checked for a potential shoulder injury after the painful 18-17 loss against the Packers on Sunday.
There have been concerns that the 32-year-old might have damaged his right shoulder, but details are yet to be revealed.
Head-coach Dennis Allen said that Carr is getting X-rays at the moment, but refused to elaborate further.
“He’s being evaluated,” Allen said. “I can’t tell you really any more than that. It’s a shoulder injury. He’s being evaluated. When we know what it is, we’ll let you know.”
After getting sacked by Rashan Gary, Carr remained on the ground for a few minutes before leaving the field under his own power. He was checked out in the blue medical tent before heading to the locker room.
The news is a huge blow for the Saints, who have were sailing 17-0, but were completely blown away 18-0 without their star player.
