Novak Djokovic paid tribute to the late Kobe Bryant after winning the US Open final against Daniil Medvedev.
Immediately after the end of the match, the Serbian put on a shirt with a photo of Djokovic and Bryant on the front. They were good friends. In addition, it was the 24th Grand Slam title for the Serbian, and for most of his great career, the “Black Mamba” played with this number.

Bryant lost his life in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020. In addition to him, 8 other people died, including the basketball player’s 13-year-old daughter, Gianna. Djokovic has always said that Bryant was one of his heroes and a close friend and his mentality was inspirational for him on the tennis court.
