Nole won the 1st set as the Serbian made a crucial 2nd break in the set when Musetti was serving to tie 6-6 and force a tiebreak, but that’s when the world number 1 broke him.
However, the 2nd set was decided after a tiebreak, and after almost 1 hour and 30 minutes, the Italian evened the sets by winning the tiebreak 8-6 points. Lorenzo also won the 3rd set after converting 2 break points from 2 chances and took the lead.
Djokovic didn’t surrender and converted 3 breaks to win the 4th set and then blanked his opponent in the 5th set – 6-0 to advance to the 1/8 finals at Roland-Garros, where Nole will play against the Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo.
