Doc Rivers has enjoyed an illustrious career as a NBA coach, leading Celtics to their first title for 30 year in 2008 and faring well in regular season at Boston, the Clippers and the 76ers.
However, he has struggled to materialize that when it most matters – in the postseason games, where he hasn’t had much success after 2008.
After receiving the axe from Philadelphia Rivers commented on his prospects for the new 2023-24 campaign.
“I don’t know what I’m gonna do,” he said. “I’m just gonna enjoy life.”
Asked about his plans in general, Rivers deflected the questions, stating he “just enjoys life” at the moment.
Rivers, named one of the NBA’s 15 Greatest Coaches during the league’s 75th anniversary season in Feb. 2022, hasn’t taken a full season off since 1999.
