The franchise shared more personal moves with Amanda Kessel, also selected as a special assistant to the president of hockey operations and general manager Dybas, and ex-Pittsburgh defenceman Trevor Daley promoted to the same position.
“During this period, I feel it is best for continuity that I formally continue in both roles as president and GM in the hockey operations section,” Kyle shared with the media. “We will continue to reconsider the general manager position alongside the other jobs in the future off-campaigns to ensure that the right people hold the right positions within the organization.”
Kyle (37) became franchise president at the beginning of June after he was not offered a new deal to work as GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was named Toronto’s general manager in 2018.
