Dwight Howard has denied sexual assault allegations against him by a Georgia man who said the former NBA star and another man raped him, the Associated Press reported. Stephen Harper filed a complaint against Howard in July, claiming he suffered an emotional breakdown as a result of the violence and fighting.
In a response through his attorneys, Howard described the 2021 events at his Atlanta home as voluntary and asked that the case be dismissed. Harper’s attorney claims the two exchanged messages on Instagram before setting up a meeting at Howard’s home on July 16, 2021. He says Howard sent a message asking for another man or woman to join their planned sex date, but Harper has said he has no interest in that happening. At the former basketball player’s home, however, they were joined by a man dressed as a woman who introduced himself as “Kitty.” Harper tried to resist, but Howard and Kitty forced him into sexual activities. He felt violated and humiliated, being in shock.
Howard denies the allegations, saying the three men agreed to “participate in mutual sexual practices.”
