After 9 NFL campaigns, Philadelphia Eagles WR DeVante Parker has chosen to retire, the player shared today.
As much as the wide receiver wanted to play football, he decided to spend more time with a family that features 4 children.
“I want to be with my children, spend quality time with them,” DeVante shared. “I want to be there for my kids as much as I can.”
Parker finished his National Football League career with 369 catches for 5,266 yards and 27 TDs.
The wide receiver added that he thinks about the future but has no plans yet what he will do.
“I’m not going to rush anything,” the former Eagles footballer revealed.
Reporters asked him about the most important thing that he remembered about his time in the league, and he answered that it was camaraderie.
Parker added that he felt welcomed no matter what organization he played and that he also thanked Miami for selecting him at the draft.
DeVante Parker has announced his retirement from the NFL. He had this to say in his goodbye:
“I appreciate the Dolphins for drafting me and giving me the opportunity. I always will have love for the Dolphins and their organization.”
