Raducanu played only 9 games in 2023, before dropping out due to heavy injuries.
She had surgeries on both her hands and her ankle back in May and has dropped down to 298th in the world as a consequence.
“I feel reborn in a way. I feel fresh, I feel ready, I feel happy and I feel excited,” she said.
“Overall, I’m feeling positive and lighter. I think that for two years after the US Open I felt maybe a bit more weight on my shoulders, but now I feel completely fresh.”
As for the Australian Open, the 2021 US Open winner must go through qualifying stages to qualify for the main draw of the tournament, which starts on January 14.
