Miami’s head-coach Erik Spoelstra gave his thoughts on the ongoing situation with Heat’s mascot Burnie after the incident during Game 4, which saw Conor McGregor give him a hefty punch in the face.
The Heat’s boss, however, gave positive feedback, stating that the mascot will be able to return for Game 6, if Miami are able to go that far.
“That’s the Miami Heat toughness that we’re talking about,” Spoelstra said. “He should’ve been allowed to take the first swing. We won’t reveal who [Burnie] is, but he’s tough, to take that punch and get back up. He’s not gonna miss any time.”
Game 5 is just around the corner and the Miami team will need every bit of fortune to go their way, if they want to keep their chances alive.
