Christian Eriksen has revealed he is optimistic the Red Devils’ summer tour of the USA will provide great preparation for the new campaign after claiming a difficult trip a year ago was a reason for their poor season.
The 2023 tour featured periods in New Jersey, San Diego, Houston and Las Vegas. This time, the team decided to stay at UCLA in California and to play only 3 matches in LA, San Diego and South Carolina.
“It’s different being at a base and traveling less to the games,” the midfielder revealed.
“It’s also a sponsored trip at the same time as fitness, and the game was pushed a little bit backward in the past campaign looking at it. I do believe, at the moment, the football has been pushed forward, and that’s the most important part during our time here.”
The Danish midfielder has a year left on his deal with the team from Old Trafford, and despite rumors about his future with Man United, Eriksen claimed he loves to play for the Red Devils.
