Manchester City goal star forward Erling Haaland won the UEFA Player of the Year award for last season. The 23-year-old Norwegian scored 52 goals in all competitions, broke a lot of records and was a significant contributor to the treble that Pep Guardiola’s side achieved.
Haaland became the top scorer in the Champions League with 12 goals and the top scorer in the Premier League, where he scored a record 36 goals.
The Norwegian won the award, beating the competition of Lionel Messi, who finished second, and his team-mate Kevin De Bruyne, who finished third in the poll.

“I feel good. I won a treble at the age of 22. I’m living my dream. To be able to do this together with my teammates is something special. I’m really happy. It gives me so much motivation to keep working and win more of these trophies. It’s free motivation. I’m ready to give everything I can to have another great season like this,” he said.
