Ferrari did not start the new Formula 1 season very well, with the team having just 26 points in the first two races, while last year at this time the Scuderia had two wins from two races.
Ferrari’s car lags significantly behind Red Bull’s, with the Aston Martin and Mercedes cars also showing better speed than the Italians. However, the Scuderia have reasons for optimism, at least as far as pit stops are concerned. Ferrari’s pit mechanics are faster than any other team when it comes to pit stops.
Both in Bahrain and in Saudi Arabia, Ferrari made the fastest pit stop, which was in 2.1 seconds.
That’s a big jump from last year, when Ferrari was well behind Red Bull, at least when it came to making pit stops and were losing important time in the stops.
