An ex-Jacksonville Jaguars financial employee faces a maximum of 30 years in prison and up to a half-million-dollar fine after he pleaded guilty today in federal court to stealing over 20 million dollars from the Jaguars in the past 4 years.
Amit Patel admitted that he is guilty and will learn his sentence later. He refused to talk with the media after his court visit, and his lawyer also didn’t answer anything and asked him to write him an email.

Amit was released on a 10,000 dollar signature bond and is without a passport so that he couldn’t flee the country.
Patel stole the money because he has a gambling problem and lost all the money that he stole betting as currently the former Jacksonville employee is receiving treatment for his gambling addiction.
