The Brit claimed that the 25-year-old should win in a 'sub-par' car in order to be considered great

Former Le Mans winner Richard Bradley has said that Max Verstappen should join Ferrari and win the title with the Maranello team if he wants to be considered among the greats of the sport.

The Dutchman has won two consecutive titles with the Milton Keynes team and is red-hot favorite to clinch yet another one after securing a 53-points lead to his nearest chaser after just 7 rounds.

That is why Bradley believes the reigning world champions should try to win the title with less competitive car.

‘I think that Max is going to end up at Ferrari in a couple of years,’ he said.

‘It wouldn’t surprise me, I think especially if he keeps on winning titles and he starts to get complacent, and people start saying “oh, is he the greatest of all time?” Max is the sort of guy that goes “okay, well I’ll do what Schumacher did: I’ll take Ferrari from not being in the position to win, to make them World Champions”.’
