Seattle Seahawks QB Geno Smith left the field and missed 2 series late in the 1st half after a bad tackle near the sideline by the NY Giants LB Isaiah Simmons.
The quarterback injured his knee on that play. Geno remained in the match for 1 more play before being examined in the medical tent.
“A dishonest play. Dishonest play,” Smith shared with media after he returned for the 2nd half of the Seahawks’ 24-3 win. “Everybody saw it. It was a dirty play. It’s no place in the NFL for that, and hopefully, the linebacker receives his punishment, but other than that, the grace of God allowed me to return on the field, and I’m happy to be able to play.”

Geno made his feelings known immediately. The Seattle QB later got flagged for taunting when he returned to the match in the 3rd quarter.
Smith ended the game 13-of-20 passing for 110 yards and a TD.
