Georgia and Czech Republic finished with a winner – 1-1 at Volksparkstadion as Georgia had a fantastic chance to score in the extra time but they failed to convert it.

The Czech team had dominance in the 1st half as they finally scored in the 23rd minute thanks to Bayer Leverkusen forward Adam Hlozek, but VAR disallowed the goal because of a handball. As time went by, Georgia received the chance to take advantage in the extra time of the 1st half as they were given a penalty for a handball, and Metz forward Georges Mikautadze converted it as that was his 2nd goal at Euro 2024 as he also netted against Turkey to secure the lead after the 1st half for his nation.
Czech Republic was able to convert its advantage in the match as Patrik Schick netted to make it 1-1 in the 59th minute. However, minutes later, the Bayer Leverkusen forward suffered an injury and was replaced.
In the last attack of the match Georgia had a golden opportunity 3 vs. 1 but they missed and the match finished without a winner.
