Germany reached the final in the FIBA World Cup, defeating the favorite USA 113:111 in a great semi-final clash. Both teams played their best basketball of the tournament so far and the Europeans were led by their big star Dennis Schroder, got their final spot.
The game in Manila was definitely the best since the beginning of the World Cup and offered an exceptional show for the spectators. The two teams traded leads for large periods of the game, especially in the first half, and both teams’ offense was at its best. In the end, however, the 10-point lead the Germans managed to forge at the end of the third quarter was enough for them to record one of the biggest upsets in World Cup history.
