Manchester City are on course to clinch a third consecutive Premier League title this weekend if they secure victory against Chelsea on Sunday.
However, since Arsenal plays on Saturday there is a scenario that the Citizens are crowned champions without even playing if the Gunners lose their outing against Nottingham Forrest.
Speaking of these circumstances, head-coach Pep Guardiola commented:
“If we can win (Sunday) and celebrate in the stadium with our people, that will be the best celebration,”
“In the Premier League it’s a question of not being far away from the top of the league; don’t give up, never ever; and wait.”
City’s crown in England was seriously put into question throughout the whole campaign after Arsenal led most of the way. However, a combination of severe slump from the Gunners and 11 consecutive wins from the sky blue team has all but reassured the title will remain at Manchester for yet another year.
