Haas F1 team boss Guenther Steiner is of the opinion that the world championship does not need new teams or team, as is expected to happen for the 2026 season.
“I am not against the 11th team, but this should bring benefits for everyone – explained the Italian. – These 10 teams have invested a lot of money in this sport and raised it to the level it is at now. So why agree to a new team coming in knowing that our revenue will drop and they will be making money off of something that was built by other people? However, if the new team makes a positive contribution and we will all benefit from it, then how can we be against it?”
“Formula 1 does not need an 11th team – added Steiner. – Now there are 10 very solid teams, this has never happened before, they are solid financially and from a sporting point of view, there are no longer any laggards.”
