Edmonton Oilers GM Ken Holland has told the franchise he will not return in any capacity next campaign.

Ken’s deal with Edmonton will expire at the end of the season. Dreger notes that while the general manager is now free to talk to the other organizations, he has not yet done and will wait some time before deciding his future.
Holland was named Edmonton GM and president of hockey operations in May of 2019.
Ken saw an organization that went 220-121-32 during his 5-year period that saw 4 postseason appearances and culminated with a Stanley Cup Final appearance in the past campaign.
Holland previously served as the GM of the Detroit Red Wings and oversaw a dominate franchise that triumphed with 0 Central Division trophies, 4 Presidents’ Trophies, 4 Stanley Cup Final appearances, and 3 Stanley Cup titles. Holland also triumphed with a 4 Stanley Cup as an assistant GM in 1997.
