Christian thinks that Max didn’t deserve punishment in Austria.

Christian Horner disagrees that “hard racer” Max Verstappen deserved punishment for his collision with Lando Norris at the Austrian GP.

Max and Lando collided while fighting for 1st place, and as a result, both cars were left damaged.

The stewards found the Dutch “predominantly” to blame and issued him a 10-second time punishment.

“For me, Verstappen is a hard racer, and everybody in Formula 1 understands that,” Christian claimed before pointing out the fight between Max and Lando at the beginning of Saturday’s sprint race.

“I believe Norris was trying to make up for Saturday. The tension was visible and escalated in the last couple of races. I knew there was going to be something dangerous between the 2 of them.”

Max finished in the 5th place as the 10-second penalty didn’t affect him.

Christian thought that Lando was pushing the limits of what was OK because Norris had a time penalty of his own for track limits violations during the fight between him and Max for the lead.
