Police officers responded to an emergency call reporting an assault Monday morning and arrested the Rockets guard. The charges against him are felonies.
The signal to the police gave his girlfriend, an ex-WNBA player.
“Before reaching the place, the police were informed that a 26-year-old female sustained a laceration to the right side of her face and was sharing about pain to her neck,” the New York City police revealed. “An initial probe on scene determined that a known male struck her a few times upon her body and placed his hands around her neck.”
Kevin’s girlfriend was transported to the hospital for further tests, the police spokesman added.
Houston Rockets stated that they are gathering more information about Porter Jr.’s incident and will comment when they have more details.
