Hungary defeated Scotland 1-0 at MHPArena in Stuttgart and with 3 points the Magyars finished 3rd and will have to wait to see if they will qualify for the 1/8 finals. However, the most crucial thing that this match will be remembered is that Barnabas Varga suffered an awful injury and was taken off the pitch by stretcher.

Because of the awful incident the referee gave 10 minutes extra time and both teams searched for a goal because draw would mean that both would be eliminated as Hungary found it in the 100th minute as the goal was netted by Ujpest forward Kevin Csoboth after Roland Sallai’s assist.
Magyars will have to wait to see if they will qualify for the round of 16 as 1 of the best 4 3rd teams among the 6th at the Euro 2024.
