Dan Hurley has rejected the chance to ink a 6-year, 70 million dollar offer with LA Lakers and return to chase a 3rd consecutive national championship at UConn.
Los Angeles would have made Dan 1 of the league’s 6 highest-paid managers. But before starting discussions with Lakers, Hurley already had an offer from his college team to become 1 of the highest-paid NCAA managers, and those discussions will continue.

Dan inked a 6-year, over 32 million dollars contract with UConn after the 2022-23 campaign. Hurley had the opportunity of taking over 1 of the most popular organizations in pro sports and a potential opportunity to lead National Basketball Association all-time scoring leader LeBron James.
But Dan at the end chose to remain at UConn, which has gone 68-11 over the last 2 championship-winning campaign and will try to become the 2nd program to win 3 consecutive men’s national championships.
