Tom, who led the school since 2017 after spending a campaign as the organization’s defensive coordinator, finished 33-49 as Hoosiers boss. Indiana was defeated in their last 3 matches, including yesterday’s rivalry contest at Purdue, to finish 3-9.
However, that move will be very costly for Indiana as Allen is owed his full remaining compensation, according to the deal. Still, despite the cost, the school decided that this was the right move for them to make in pursuit of a better campaign next year.
Tom was assistant manager at Arkansas State, Ole Miss, and South Florida before joining manager Kevin Wilson’s staff as Indiana defensive coordinator in 2016.
BREAKING: Indiana fires Tom Allen, but he’s not leaving Bloomington empty-handed. The Hoosiers owe Allen a shockingly large buyout.
No better job in America than being a fired football coach!
