The NY Jets 1st match without Aaron Rodgers was very bad, as QB Zach Wilson threw 3 interceptions in the 30-10 defeat to the Cowboys in Dallas. After the game, New York spoke about Rodgers’ replacement with encouraging words.
In the locker room, WR Garrett Wilson put his arm around the young quarterback and tried to lift his spirits. The 3 tight ends were also there, doing the same. It was a great scene that sent the message that the organization didn’t blame Wilson for his bad performance at the 1st match back as a starter.
“If you’re not part of the franchise, it’s easy to play the QB blame game,” Garrett Wilson claimed. “Honestly, that’s how the world works right now, where you look at the best player — the head man, the QB, the 1 who makes the money — and then blame him for everything bad. But all of us internally know what we must do to improve the situation.”
