Miami Heat leader Jimmy Butler has not lost confidence in his team’s abilities and believes they will win the next game against the Boston Celtics and close the series in six games. The Celtics cut their deficit to 2-3 with a 110-97 home win last night, putting pressure on the Heat ahead of a key Game 6 in Florida.
“We just have to play better and start the games in a better way to set the pace from the beginning and make the game more difficult for them. We remain positive because we know we can and will win the series. We have to do it at home in the next game. In the last two games, we did not look like ourselves. We stopped playing defense because we weren’t getting the shots we wanted to get. However, this is easy to fix. We will have to play much stronger from the start and we will have to be consistent. We know we’re going to win the next game,” Butler said emphatically.
Game 6 of the final series of the Eastern Conference will take place on Saturday. No team in NBA history has ever overturned an 0-3 playoff streak.
