Jimmy Butler has made the firm promise that the Miami Heat will emerge triumphant in what is to be the final game of an epic Eastern Conference final, that saw Boston reduce a 3-0 deficit.
Butler reflected on Heat’s heart-breaking loss in Game 6, where the Celtics edged them out by a single point due to a last minute buzzer and was certain that his team will make up for it.
“I’m not gon’ let anybody quit. I’m not gonna let our guys quit,” he said “I don’t give a damn what happens—we gon’ go in there [TD Garden], and we’re gonna win.”
Miami started the series brilliantly, but are now a loss away from unprecedented blunder by allowing a turnaround from 3-0 up.
Butler himself should feel responsible as his game faded in the last 3 games as he vowed to defeat Boston.
