The sale value is 6.05 billion dollars – a record for a North American sports team. Snyder was the owner of the NFL franchise from the capital of the USA since 1999, and his family got the sole owner 2 years ago.
“We wish all the best to Josh Harris and his powerful group of partners,” the league commissioner Roger Goodell shared after the sale. “Josh will be an integral part of the NFL. He has a great record in business, sports, and society. The diverse group that Josh has put together is amazing for its business acumen and great Washington ties, and we are happy that now they are part of the National Football League.”
Josh also owns NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and NHL’s New Jersey Devils.
