Justin Pogge retires and lands new job with Hockey Canada

The player hangs up his pads and takes on a new role.

The ex-Canadian World Juniors player decided to retire but will continue working on a hockey-related job.

Justin announced his retirement today and shared that he will be a goaltending consultant with Hockey Canada.

“I was trying to be unnoticed. It’s not that I’m not able to play games anymore. But it’s time for me to benefit from an amazing opportunity,” the hockey star player shared. “It’s time for a new episode in my life.”

He is currently at the IIHF World Hockey Championship as part of Team Canada, as he was also at the U18 championship in Switzerland with the national team in April.

Pogge played his last 4 years as a player in Germany as part of the Grizzlys Wolfsburg.
