Kentucky Derby champ to run on May 20

Kentucky Derby champion Mage will race in the 148th Preakness as he had a very optimistic workout at Churchill Downs, his co-holder shared.

The horse was shown encouraging signs in the training after the triumph in the 149th Kentucky Derby and is now ready to get in the Triple Crown’s 2^nd jewel at Pimlico in Baltimore.

“The horse had an excellent week of practicing,” Restrepo claimed with co-owner Chamberlin, co-creator and racing chief of partner CMNWLTH.

“Instructor Gustavo Delgado was satisfied and over the moon about how Mage returned. He displayed all the productive signs. So, it’s on to Preakness and crab cakes, and we will win.”
