Kevin Garnett has shared his opinion on the two leading NBA stars LeBron James and Kevin Durant, by stating that the two veteran players must adapt to newer roles in the twilight of their careers.
Garnett thinks their status as ball-demanding players should come to an end in favor of a more team-friendly role.
“LeBron and KD—it’s time for them to be spot up,” Garnett said, speaking to Paul Pierce. “We done gave the ball to them for, like, ages. This is 20 years where I gave them the ball, telling them … can they play off the ball once? Can they go in the corner and now someone make a play, make it for them to get a free shot?”
James has played 20 seasons in the NBA, while Durant is entering his 17th year at the top flight basketball and both have had the position of a dominant ball handlers. Garnett, however, thinks that should change and that someone else should take their place in their respective teams.
