The Brazilian was once again a target for racial abuse

Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr. blasted La Liga’s authorities after his team 1-0 loss to Valencia, where he was targeted for racial abuse.

The Brazilian received a straight red for violent conduct deep into stoppage time as he clashed with Hugo Duro.

This came as a consequence of Vinicius being racially abused by the home crowd and he turned the referee’s attention to it.

“The championship that once belonged to Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Cristiano and Messi today belongs to racists,” Vinicius wrote on Instagram.

“It wasn’t the first time, nor the second, nor the third. Racism is normal in La Liga. The competition thinks it’s normal, the federation does too and the opponents encourage it.

“And unfortunately, for everything that happens each week, I have no defence. I agree. But I am strong and I will go to the end against racists. Even if far from here.”

La Liga responded that it will take immediate action to investigate the case.
