The franchise from LA already had preliminary contact with Hurley, and the sides are positive that everything can be decided in several days. The UConn head coach has been at the forefront of the franchise’s search for a new manager.
Dan has shared in the past that he dreams to manage in the National Basketball Association in the future and has given green light to 1 of the top 2 franchise’s in the league’s history.
The offer to Dan comes 20 years after Los Angeles tried to appoint then-Duke manager Mike Krzyzewski to a record-breaking deal. However, Mike decided to continue coaching in the college but now with the new rules, things are very different for schools like UConn which can push Hurley to accept Lakers offer.
