LeBron James may be very well paid, but it looks like the NBA superstar doesn’t like to waste money.
The NBA’s all-time scoring leader, 38, tweeted that he has no intention of paying $8 a month for Elon Musk’s subscription service, Twitter Blue, even if it means losing the blue check mark that confirms his authentic account as of April 1.

In an interview with ESPN in 2017, James said he “doesn’t turn on mobile internet on his phone and doesn’t buy apps,” saying he still uses the ad-supported Pandora music and podcast app.
Twitter owner Elon Musk said earlier in March that starting April 1, the social network is removing the blue checks that authenticate profiles in an effort to get users to subscribe to Twitter Blue.
