LeBron James has stated that he will be ready to play in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals against Denver Nuggets.
The 38-year-old appeared to be limping off after the game concluded and concerns have been raised about his fitness. The alleged injury seems to have occurred in the fourth quarter, when he accidentally stepped on his teammate’s foot Anthony Davis.
However, James dismissed any rumours, stating the injury is not too serious.
“They’re still there,” he said. “A little ankle isn’t going to stop me.”
The Lakers star was able to finish the game with the issue, which may suggest that the injury indeed is not very severe.
He had a rather sloppy performance as Los Angeles succumbed to second consecutive defeat. Being 2-0 the next game is more or less a must-win if they wish to retain hopes of qualifying for the final.
