The English left-back will soon be part of 250 matches for Manchester United after his transfer from Southampton in 2014. He was not part of the starters under Erik ten Hag at the beginning of the season, but now Shaw is the club’s 1st choice in the left back.
The Dutch coach of the Red Devils was asked about Shaw’s deal on Friday.
“If he signed, I don’t know, I haven’t heard,” the United manager said.
“I have to wait for that. But, if true, I am pleased. We definitely want to keep him because he’s a crucial player for our team.”
The team wants to keep even more current players at Old Trafford for the next seasons and will try to sign them before the season ends.
