Manchester United defender Raphael Varane will miss his team’s visit to Arsenal this Sunday, the club have announced. The French international left the field at half-time in the 3-2 win with Nottingham Forest.
After the game, it became clear that he had an injury and had to undergo the necessary tests. Unofficial information appeared yesterday that Varane will be out for six weeks, which means that he will be able to return to the field only around mid-October.
The central defender has been part of Manchester United’s squad since the summer of 2021, and in those two years he has suffered a total of nine injuries. It is expected that later today Erik ten Haag will give more detailed information about the player’s condition at his press conference.
It’s yet another bit of bad news for the Red Devils in recent weeks after their players have suffered a series of relatively serious injuries that will keep them out of the squad for the next month or more.
