Man United manager Ten Hag ‘slept well’ after Ronaldo drama

Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag was asked once again for the fall out with his former star at the team Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese star had an open conflict with his coach, which led to his exclusion from the first team after he walked off the bench against Tottenham because he was asked to come in as a substitution with couple of minutes left on the clock.

“I had my reasons for this decision then. They were obvious. You also know what the consequences would be if the result was negative for us”, said Ten Haag about the match, which the “Red Devils” won 2:1 at home.

“In football, however, you have to think in perspective, and not only about what follows shortly – added the Dutchman. – My duty is to take responsibility for my decisions. I remember we had 10 days in which to choose what’s the best for the game. But I wasn’t worried at all and I slept well then.”
