Manchester United have announced that they will give update on the Mason Greenwood’s situation tomorrow, reports say.
However, a final decision on the striker’s future is unlikely to appear in tomorrow’s statement.
The Red Devils were initially planning to bring Greenwood back to the first squad, but a furious backlash from fans since the beginning of the new season appears to have changed their mind.
“The official line from Manchester United is that there is no final decision yet and that all scenarios remain open to them.” the report said.
“And they are planning for them, such as re-integrating Mason Greenwood. Keep him and loan him out. Sell him or work with their lawyers to actually dismiss him.”
Greenwood was arrested for alleged assault and rape in January 2022, but was cleared of all charges by the Crown Prosecution Service this February.
Since then United have taken the responsibility to undergo an interteam investigation, but the club is yet to come out with an official stamp.
