Mikel Merino will have to wait before making his debut for the Gunners after his 32 million pound transfer from LaLiga after sustaining a problem in the training session.
Merino, who has been part of the Spanish national team that triumphed in Germany, will have to wait a little bit before playing for the Gunners. Mikel has been laid low during a training exercise, with Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhaes landing on him while the Spaniard was on the ground and injuring his shoulder.
Arsenal manager revealed that Mikel will be out for several weeks: “Things like this happen. Merino suffered a shoulder problem, and right now, we think that he will be out for a few weeks. Merino landed on the floor, and Magalhaes landed on top of him.”
Merino will not play tomorrow against Brighton as after there is an international break, he will be able to return to the squad and make his debut for the North London club and try to help them challenge for the Premier League title.
