Lionel Messi has no intention of going on loan to another club when his Inter Miami MLS season ends. There has been speculation in recent weeks that the Argentine superstar could move to another club before the end of February. There was even a rumor that Barcelona could try to get him back, and the topic of Saudi Arabia came up again.
However, according to Spanish football expert Guillaume Balague, the world champion has no desire to overburden himself and his plan is to give himself time for a longer vacation with his family during the spring.
Inter’s season will end on October 21 after the team lost the chance to qualify for the playoffs. Messi’s last commitments for the year will be the qualifiers against Uruguay and Brazil on November 17 and 22. He will then go on vacation for about a month, and when the planned vacation is over, he will return for pre-season training with Inter Miami.
Messi has only played 72 minutes since the beginning of September due to injury, but scored 11 goals in 13 matches for the team in all competitions.
“Messi will be on holiday for about a month, like most footballers, so forget about any transfer to Saudi Arabia or anything like that,” Balague told the BBC.
