Jonathan ended his campaign yesterday as No. 16 Oregon State lost from Oregon 31-7 away from home, dropping to 8-4 on the campaign. The manager met with his former school this morning to tell them he decided to take a different career path and join Michigan State.
“As I begin my new chapter of my head coaching career, I want to share my gratitude to all the players, managers, and colleagues I have worked with over the last 6 seasons,” Smith announced today after the news of his new job. “I will always remember my time at Michigan State, and the friendships I made here will last a lifetime. I also wanted to acknowledge my gratitude to the people of OSU/Corvallis for always having our backs.”
