Giorgio Furlani confirmed the project in San Donato is progressing

AC Milan CEO, Giorgio Furlani said the project for the new stadium is going ahead and the planned deadline is by the end of 2028.

The Rossoneri are working on their new home for years now and after the change of ownership, the club decided to ditch the idea to build a shared stadium with Inter and instead to find a place for their own project.

Club’s owner Gerry Cardinale met several times with the major of San Donato area where Milan already bought the ground to build not only the stadium, but hotel, restaurants and new club headquarters.

“We are progressing with the San Donato project. Our target is to be at our new home by the end of 2028”, Furlani said. The new stadium is expected to be able to host around 70 000 spectators and Red Bird company that owns the majority stake of the club wants to build the most modern sporting venue in the world.
