The two sides continue to negotiate a possible new contract for the Portuguese winger, but so far they cannot come to an agreement.

The local press adds that Leao was very disappointed with the team’s recent results and especially with the 3:1 loss to Udinese at the weekend. The Rossoneri are still hoping to tie down the striker, who has a contract only until the summer of 2024, but if that doesn’t happen, they will be ready to part with him in the summer so as not to let him go as a free agent in a year time.
